Construction of Wolf Run Trail was funded by Dane County Parks Department, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, Madison Community Foundation, Town of Mazomanie, Wolf Run Association,  with additional support from community organizations and individuals including John and Helen Wick, Wisconsin Heights School District, Alliant Energy, Premier Cooperative, and Peoples Community Bank.
